AI & Call Recording Notice

Effective and last updated: October 1, 2026

What to know when you talk or text with Lola, the AI assistant salons use through LolaDesk.

1. Lola is an AI assistant

Salons that use LolaDesk let an AI assistant named Lola answer their phone, texts and website chat. Lola introduces herself as the salon’s virtual assistant and, if you sincerely ask, will always confirm she is an AI. You can ask for a person at any time; Lola will take a message or alert the salon.

2. Call recording

Calls answered by Lola may be recorded and transcribed. Callers are told at the start of the call. Recordings and transcripts are used so the salon can review conversations, so appointments are booked accurately, for quality and training of the salon’s own setup, and for security. By continuing the call after the notice, you consent to recording. If you do not consent, hang up and contact the salon another way, or ask Lola to have someone call you back.

3. What the AI does with your words

Your speech is converted to text, processed by AI language models hosted by our providers to understand your request, and answered with synthesized speech or text. Lola may use the salon’s menu, schedule and your past visits to help you. We do not use these conversations to train general-purpose AI models.

4. Limits

AI can make mistakes. Confirm important details such as appointment times and prices with the salon. Lola does not give medical, legal or financial advice and cannot handle emergencies — call 911 in an emergency.

5. Your choices

Reply STOP to stop texts. Ask the salon (or email legal@loladesk.com) to access or delete your information. See the Privacy Policy.
